Mr. Munoz is a U.S. Navy Veteran and joins Cogito Realty Partners with more than 25 years of experience in valuation, lending, litigation support, eminent domain/condemnation, arbitration, mediation, deposition, underwriting, review, tax appeal, development, expert witness, and environmental real estate roles, with extensive valuation experience across all asset types nationwide and internationally. Senior Appraiser Eric Schneider is a Senior Appraiser with Jones, Roach, & Caringella, Inc., a real estate valuation and consulting firm that specializes in litigation support throughout the United States. Mr. Schneider has extensive experience with the appraisal of commercial and residential real estate, as well as review experience for litigation matters. His clients include government agencies, law firms, corporations, and private clients. An active member of the valuation community, Mr. Schneider serves on various committees and boards related to the appraisal profession, including the Appraisal Institute and the International Right of Way Association. He has served as chapter president for both organizations, and currently served as chair of AI’s national designation committee. He is also a member of The Appraisal Journal review panel, an instructor for the Appraisal Institute, and a frequent speaker at valuation, legal, and university events. Mr. Schneider's designations include the MAI, SRA, and AI-GRS from the Appraisal Institute, as well as the R/W-AC designation from the IRWA. |
Summary:

The presentation will also feature a case study on Bruce’s Beach, a property that was unjustly condemned but recently given back to the Bruce family. The presenters will discuss Mr. Munoz’s valuation analysis of the property and the impact on value.

In this webinar, Ross Greene, J.D., SR/WA, an attorney with Pender & Coward’s Eminent Domain/Right of Way Practice Group, will discuss how entities such as the IRWA can participate in appellate cases through what is known as an amicus brief. He will review the history and function of amicus briefs by way of background and discuss the specifics of a recent amicus brief filed on behalf of IRWA in a case in the North Carolina Court of Appeals, which involves the finality of settlements in right of way cases. |

D. Rossen S. Greene, J.D., SR/WA, is a shareholder at Pender & Coward and the chair of the firm’s Right of Way/Eminent Domain Practice Group. He focuses his practice in the areas of eminent domain, real estate, wills, trusts, estates and business matters. In his right of way practice, Ross represents condemning authorities, including state government agencies, utilities, municipalities and right of way consultants. His practice includes litigation in state and federal courts regarding property valuation, eminent domain, condemnation, inverse condemnation and the Uniform Relocation Act. Ross is also the vice chair for IRWA Region 4. |

Mr. Anderson is considered a local to global practitioner and scholar who has written and published over 125 articles. He has authored, developed, and presented over 50 seminars, programs, conferences, and continuing educations courses for the IRWA, the Appraisal Institute and the American Bar Association. Mr. Anderson has contributed to and or written eight books about real estate appraisal and property value damages. His most recent journal article was just published in the Appraisal Journal on PFAS contamination and residential property value diminution in five geographies in the United States, which is the subject of his IRWA presentation.

Mr. Anderson was the former president of Orange County’s Chapter 67 in 2004 and then again in 2007 as well as the IRWA’s International Valuation Committee Chair in 2017 and 2018. In addition to his professional life, he is also an enthusiastic artist and photographer, a collector of ancient Viking artifacts and a really bad golfer.
