The Fifty for Fifty Scholarship Program provides fifty (50) $2,500 scholarships to support IRWA members pursuing professional certification and continuing education. Scholarship funds may be applied toward eligible IRWA coursework and may be used for in-person, virtual, or on-demand courses.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, applicants must:
SCHOLARSHIP ALLOCATION
- Forty (40) scholarships allocated equally among IRWA’s ten (10) U.S. and Canadian Regions (Four scholarships per Region).
- Up to five (5) scholarships awarded to qualified applicants from IRWA international chapters (No more than one scholarship per international chapter).
- Five (5) additional scholarships awarded to U.S. and Canadian Regions based on documented excess demand.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be an active IRWA member in good standing for at least one (1) year.
- Have formally declared candidacy for at least one IRWA certification program.
- Submit an essay of 300 words or less addressing:
1. Their strongest current potential contribution to IRWA and how this scholarship
....would enhance that contribution.
2. What excites them about the future of IRWA and the right of way profession.
3. The role they hope to play in the future of the profession and IRWA.
- Application Deadline: May 15, 2026.
- Notification of Recipients: June 1, 2026.
- Scholarship Term: July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2028.

| Objective The Duncan Bush Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to award a total of $15,000 in scholarships to active IRWA professionals who exemplify Duncan's enthusiasm for real estate learning and his passion for the IRWA. The Duncan Bush Memorial Scholarship Fund will provide scholarships, up to $1,000 annually, earmarked for Real Estate appraisal-related educational courses sponsored by the IRWA. | Eligibility IRWA Inland Empire Chapter 57 welcomes and encourages Chapter 57 members to apply for a Duncan Bush Memorial Scholarship. Scholarship applicants must be an active IRWA member in good standing. Scholarship funds can only be used toward the registration fee for eligible IRWA real estate appraisal courses. Courses must be completed within 2 years of presentation of the award (e.g., June 2024 awards must be used by May 31, 2026). |

Global Education Initiative Scholarship

DEADLINE: APRIL 1, 2025
| Purpose The purpose and intent of the Scholarship is to provide one $2,500 scholarship to each of IRWA’s active chartered Chapters to offer as an incentive to Chapter members to seek out IRWA course curriculum opportunities. Scholarship funds (not to exceed $180,000) so awarded must be used within two (2) years from July 1, 2025. All courses taken can be done so either in person, on demand or virtually. Region officers or International Relations Committee Chair can award that unused scholarship to another chapter in the region where there is more than one qualified candidate. | Schedule Applications may be submitted to the IRWA website beginning January 15, 2025. The deadline for the application is April 1, 2025. Grantees will be notified by June 1, 2025 and the award will begin on July 1, 2025. Eligibility Scholarship applicants must be active IRWA members in good standing for at least two years. Scholarship funding can only be used toward the registration fee for eligible courses by June 30, 2027. |

Eligibility
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must be:
(1) a member in good standing of the IRWA for a minimum of one year;
(2) a young professional (age 35 or younger) practicing in the right of way profession;
(3) committed to enhancing their knowledge of the industry; and
(4) willing to honor the legacy of Alan D. Wurtz, SR/WA by furthering the IRWA’s Purpose and Mission.
